Time: 08:00 – 14:30h

"On June 25, 2015, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), in collaboration with the Thai Water Partnership (TWP), and the Pollution Control Department (PCD) of Thailand’s MONRE, carried out a local inception workshop at the primary education service area 2 office in Nakhon Phanom, which included most of the relevant local government line agencies and local communities. The main objective of this workshop was to seek the local perspective of river health in Songkram catchment. Through focused group discussions and deliberations, participants were encouraged to identify (a) the relevant issues that affected the river health in the catchment, (b) management practices, (c) key hotspots, and (d) potential solutions to the problems. Apart from being an avenue to get significant output for the River Health Indicator System, the workshop also identified key actors who can be engaged with for the entire duration of the project".
